Aaliyah Dana Haaughton soared to fame after releasing the album she dubbed Age Ain't Nothing but A Number in the year 1994. The album, made available at just 15 years of age it went Gold. The collaboration that influenced R. Kelly's music and made her a star. In 1996, she released her second album One In A Million with Jermaine dupri and Timbaland. It contained the hit number one track If Your Girl only had known. After the release of this work Aaliyah won international acclaim as an R&B performer. She starred with the legendary martial artist Jet Li in the 2000 romantic-action movie Romeo Must Die. Joel Silver, film producer and director of the movie Romeo Must Die spotted her at an award ceremony. In 2002, she was able to appear in the horror film Queen of the Damned which was an adaptation of the Anne Rice novel. The Matrix Sequels saw her as Zee following her appearance in The Matrix Reloaded (2003) as well as The Matrix Revolutions that same year. In 1999, 2001 2002, 2003 and 1999 she was nominated to win four Grammy awards. Aarti Mann.....................Aarti Mann also known as Aarti Majumdar is an American actor who is best known for her portrayal of Priya Koothrappali in the popular TV series The Big Bang Theory. The actress is the very first generation of Indian-American to be from Connecticut. Mann is an abbreviation of her married first name Mankad. Aarti Magnumdar, her official name. However, she has also used Aarti Magumdar for her stage name. Her acting career began as a minor actor in TV and film parts, however her fame increased in the mid 2000s. Other notable works she has done comprise Leverage 2012, Suits 2013, and Grey's Anatomy 2017. The actress has been featured in a variety of commercials including Volvo's international car manufacturer. She lives within Los Angeles with her husband as well as her daughter, and will continue to pursue an acting profession.
