Winona-Ryder

Winona Ryder is the professionally-known name given to Winona Laura Hoowitz. She was birthed within Winona Minnesota. The parents of her daughter named her in honor of her hometown. Michel Horowitz' father was an editor and writer, as were Cynthia Palmer and her mother. Ryder is Jewish. Ryder believes that her father was from an ethnically Jewish origin. The actress is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal and Sunyata. Ryder moved with her family members to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. In Mendocino County, they did not have electricity. Ryder became an avid reading book because there was television. Ryder started taking acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she was 12 years old. In 1986 she landed her first major-screen appearance in the movie Lucas at just 15 years old. Ryder suffered bullying in her high school. Her performing career, she thought to help, could have helped her. However, the plan didn't pan out. But she continued to pursue her dream. Her big break occurred in the year 1988, when Tim Burton's Beetlejuice. Ryder played successful roles for several films. Two Academy Awards were nominated, one of which was for The Age of Innocence (1996).
