Charissa was born at Seattle Washington, United States on the 4th of May, 1982. ESPN analyst who was hired the role of co-host on SportsNation in 2012. She was also the co-host of ABC's Splash show with Joey Lawrence. Thompson grew as a child in Seattle Washington. As the youngest of three kids, she knew she wanted to be a broadcaster from an early age. She attended Inglemoor High School, Kenmore Washington. Thompson relocated to California to study at a community college and gain California residency. Thompson then was transferred to University of California Santa Barbara. She earned her degree in Law and Society with a Bachelor of Arts in 2004. Thompson stated that although Sports Illustrated stated she attended UC Santa Barbara before transferring from UC Santa Barbara to a California Community College, she was not in attendance in Washington State. Thompson, who is a former sports journalist for Sports Illustrated, received an email from a friend inviting her to get her body painted and appear in the Swimsuit edition.
